Asian and European Handicap - Explanation


Basically the Asian Handicap is as follows:


Imagine a FC Barcelona - Real Madrid and bookmaker gives the possibility of betting on Real Madrid (+0.5 Asian Handicap). What this means is that middle part with the Real Madrid goal progress soon if you bet atReal Madrid  and if the result is a 0-0, 1-1 or any other tie you win the bet. If Real Madrid win also won the bet. Only if you lose Real Madrid lose.


Then there's the DNB also called Asian Handicap (0).


For example: FC Barcelona - Real Madrid (0 AH). If you bet on Real Madrid won in case of winning the game, recover the money in case of a tie and lose the bet if FC Barcelona win.


Finally you have also the handicaps that are divided in two. For example, -0.25AH or -0.75AH.

Example: Barcelona (-0.25 AH) - Real Madrid. If you bet on Barcelona half your money is wagered in Barcelona (0 AH) and half the money at Sporting (-0.5 AH). Basically if you bet $ 50 you have:

$ 25 Barcelona (AH 0)
$ 25 Barcelona (-0.5 AH)

If Barcelona win the second game won the bet. If the game ends in a draw you lose the bet of -0.5 AH and regain the money from another. If Real Madrid win you lose the second.

Team A draws - bet returned

Team A (-0.25) or (0, -0.5)
Team A wins - Bet wins
Team A loses - Bet Lost
Team A draws - Half the stake is returned, the other half is lost.

Team B (+0.25) or (0, +0.5)
Team B wins - Bet wins
Team B loses - Bet Lost
Team B draws - Half the stake is returned, the other half is won.

Team A (-0.5)
Team A wins - Bet wins
Team A loses or draws - bet lost

Team B (+0.5)
Team B wins or draws - bet wins
Team B loses - Bet Lost

Team A (-0.75) or (-0.5, -1.0)
Team A wins by two goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by one goal - half the bet is won, the other half is returned.
The team A loses or draws - bet lost

Team B (+0.75) or (+0.5, +1.0)
Team B wins or draws - bet wins
Team B loses by one goal - half the bet is lost, the other half is returned.
Team B loses by two goals or more - Bet lost.

Team A (-1)
Team A wins by two goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by one goal - Bet returned
Team A loses or draws - bet lost

Team B (+1)
Team B wins or draws - bet wins
Team B loses by one goal - Bet returned
Team B loses by two goals or more - Bet Lost

Team A (-1.25) (-1.0, -1.5)
Team A wins by two goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by one goal - Half is returned, the other half is lost
Team A loses or draws - bet lost

Team B (+1.25) or (+1.0, +1.5)
Team B wins or draws - bet wins
Team B loses by one goal - Half's wins, the other half is returned
Team B loses by two goals or more - Bet Lost

Team A (-1.5)
Team A wins by two goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by one goal, lose or draw - Bet Lost

Team B (+1.5)
Team B wins, ties or loses by one goal - Bet wins
Team B loses by two goals or more - Bet Lost

Team A (-1.75) or (-1.5, -2.0)
Team A wins by three goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by two goals - half the bet is won, the other half is returned
Team A wins by one, lose or draw - Bet Lost

Team B (+1.75) or (+1.5, +2.0)
Team B wins, ties or loses by one goal - Bet wins
Team B loses by two goals - half the bet is lost, the other half is returned
Team B loses by two goals or more - Bet Lost

Team A (-2)
Team A wins by three goals or more - Bet wins
Team A wins by two goals - Bet returned
Team A wins by one goal, lose or draw - Bet Lost

Team B (+2)
Team B wins, loses by one goal or draws - bet wins
Team B loses by two goals - Bet returned
Team B loses by three goals or more - Bet Lost

For higher handicaps just take into account the lower handicaps.
Ex: For The Team (-2.25) or (-2.0, -2.5), taking into account the handicap Team A (-1.25) or (-1.0, -1.5) and add a goal at all!
